PROJECT DETAILS

OVERVIEW:

PPC have been awarded the installation, testing, and commissioning of a district heating network as part of LB Haringey’s network, consisting of circa 235m of trench for dual DN250 & DN125 Kingspan LOGSTOR pipe. The works are to be constructed in public highways to connect new building to the network in the location of Tottenham Hale.

Start: November 2022. 25 week programme, with four distinct phases

CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS

Crossing of sensitive services and managing live traffic conditions.
Vicinity to school and logistics challenges.
Strict ‘completion by dates’ for phases of work.
Coordination with other nearby construction activities/principal coordinators.
Relatively shallow ground water table.
Regular design reviews with client and the designer to maintain the programme whilst overcoming unexpected services and utilities en-route.
